Goodyear dates its founding to 1898, when Frank Seiberling bought two empty factories on Market Street in Akron, Ohio. It added Cooper in 2021, and the Wrangler name now covers every Goodyear light-truck tire here, from OE mud-terrains to highway-leaning work-truck all-terrains.

Wrangler DuraTrac and DuraTrac RT
The original Wrangler DuraTrac is still sold alongside the newer DuraTrac RT. Goodyear describes it as a workhorse for rugged terrain including snow, with TractiveGroove Technology, self-cleaning shoulder blocks, a rim protector and LT sizes pinned for #16 studs. Its 25 official sizes (15-20in) carry the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake designation on every size except LT275/65R18 113Q, LT275/70R18 125R and LT285/75R18 129Q. Goodyear's tread-life table lists its 50,000-mile warranty as excluding LT sizes. Five of the DuraTrac's six passenger and XL sizes are Q speed-rated (99 mph) and graded 320 A B under UTQG; the exception, 265/65R17, is S-rated and graded 500 B B.
Goodyear launched the Wrangler DuraTrac RT in September 2023 as the newest Wrangler, and it closes that gap. Its 50,000-mile warranty covers P-metric and LT sizes alike, and both of its product pages carry the 3PMSF designation with no exclusions. It adds DuPont Kevlar reinforcement against tread damage and a three-ply sidewall with Durawall compound, across 54 sizes on 16-22in wheels with 16-18/32in of tread. Eight sizes are Load Range F, from 33x12.50R20LT 119Q to LT305/65R18 128Q.
Adventure with Kevlar, Workhorse AT 2 and Trailrunner AT
The Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar also uses Kevlar. LT sizes get two layers plus 30% more steel, with Durawall sidewall technology, across 24 sizes. It carries a 60,000-mile warranty and 3PMSF on select LT sizes that Goodyear does not itemize. For work trucks, the Wrangler Workhorse AT 2 is the current generation of the Workhorse AT. Its two Load Range F sizes, 35x12.50R20LT 125 R and 35x12.50R18LT 128 R, are rated 3,638 and 3,968 lb per tire. Goodyear aims it at towing and long work days and claims up to 18% shorter wet stopping distance than its predecessor. It has 44 sizes across 16-22in wheels (SL through F), 12-17/32in of tread, 3PMSF on both its P-metric and LT pages, and a 55,000-mile warranty on its product page. Goodyear's tread-life table still lists the first-generation Workhorse AT at 50,000 miles, excluding C-type sizes. The Wrangler Trailrunner AT is a very small line: four sizes, a 55,000-mile warranty on both its passenger and LT versions in Goodyear's tread-life table, and 3PMSF only on its single LT size, LT275/65R20.
Wrangler Territory AT and Territory MT
The two Territory tires are original-equipment models, and neither appears in Goodyear's tread-life warranty table. The Wrangler Territory AT (13 sizes, 16-22in, 10-15/32in) carries the 3PMSF tag on its P-metric/XL page but not on its LT page. The Wrangler Territory MT is Goodyear's OE maximum-traction tire, with an open tread, wrap-around shoulders and a sequenced pitch pattern for noise. It comes in 7 LT size rows across 17-20in wheels (Load Range C plus one E) with 15-17/32in of tread, with no mileage warranty and no 3PMSF tag. Because it is mostly Load Range C, its ratings are modest: LT285/70R17 is 116 (2,756 lb per tire on Goodyear's chart), and the single E size, LT305/70R18, is 126 R (3,748 lb).
Load Index and Speed Rating Across the Wrangler Line
Goodyear's own chart defines both numbers. The load index is the maximum weight a tire can carry when properly inflated, and a tire with a lower index than the original equipment won't carry the original load. LT tires show two indexes because they can run as duals: Goodyear's example is 120/116, meaning 3,086 lb for a single tire and 2,756 lb per tire in a dual pair. Speed symbols cap the tire's maximum service speed: Q is 99 mph, R 106, S 112, T 118, H 130 and V 149. Goodyear recommends replacing like with like or better, and mixed ratings limit the vehicle to the lowest-rated tire.
Two DuraTrac sizes show the effect of load range. LT275/70R18 comes as a Load Range D at 121 R (3,197 lb) and an E at 125 R (3,638 lb), 441 lb apart per tire. The DuraTrac RT's LT285/70R17 is 126 R (3,748 lb), while its P-metric 285/70R17 is 116 T (2,756 lb) with a higher speed rating. The All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar is rated close to the RT in LT sizes but carries less tread: its LT285/70R17 is 121 R with 15/32in and its LT275/70R18 is 125 R with 14/32in, against 18/32in on the DuraTrac RT.
How Goodyear's Warranties Work
Goodyear's Highway Auto and Light Truck limited warranty replaces a radial tire free, including mounting and balancing, if a covered condition takes it out of service in the first 2/32in of tread or 12 months from purchase, whichever comes first. After that, replacement is prorated by the share of usable tread worn, up to six years from purchase or until the tire is worn to 2/32in. Goodyear defines light truck tires as those with "LT" in the sidewall stamping.
Goodyear's separate Tread Life Limited Warranty runs up to six years or the listed mileage, whichever comes first, and is prorated, so a DuraTrac RT that wears out at 40,000 of its 50,000 miles is replaced for 80% of the comparable tire's advertised price. To claim it, you must be the original purchaser, keep the original invoice showing the mileage when they were mounted, and rotate the tires to the prescribed pattern. It does not apply to commercial use, OE tires, or tires whose tread has been altered by siping, carving or shaving. Goodyear also offers a 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee on select tires, including the Workhorse AT 2.
For the limited warranty, the tires must carry DOT tire identification numbers and must have been used only on the vehicle they were first mounted on. Tread-life claims are made by presenting the tire at a Goodyear, Dunlop or Kelly store. Tires that came on a new vehicle, such as the Territory models, fall under Goodyear's separate original-equipment warranty rather than these replacement-tire terms.
