Frontier: Generations and What Carried Over
Nissan's 2022 press kit describes an all-new design for the Frontier, but says the truck kept the previous model's 126.0-inch wheelbase and its chassis. The 3.8-liter V6 (310 hp, 281 lb-ft) and 9-speed automatic arrived before the new body: Nissan says the 9-speed was all-new for 2020. So a 2020–2021 Frontier has the current powertrain in the older body, while 2022-and-later trucks have the new body on the carried-over chassis. For drivetrain parts, match the powertrain; for bumpers, grilles, lighting and bed parts, match the body year.
Frontier Cabs, Beds and Wheelbases
Nissan's 2027 Frontier press kit lists four grades (S, SV, PRO-X and PRO-4X), a King Cab on the S grade and a Crew Cab on every grade, with 5-foot and 6-foot beds.

Tonneau covers, bed racks and bedliners are sold by bed length, and sliders and side steps by cab and wheelbase, so a 5-foot Crew Cab and a 6-foot Crew Cab take different parts even in the same year. A spray-in bedliner trims the 6-foot floor to 72.7 inches, per Nissan.
Frontier PRO-4X: The Factory Off-Road Package
Nissan lists these on the PRO-4X: a part-time four-wheel-drive system with a two-speed transfer case (1.00:1 high, 2.717:1 low), an electronic locking rear differential, Bilstein off-road shocks, aluminum skid plates and 265/70R17 all-terrain tires. In 2022 the kit described one front aluminum and three steel underbody skid plates. Because the PRO-4X already has the rear locker and skid plates, check what an aftermarket part replaces before buying it. Frontier Towing and Payload
For 2027, Nissan's highest Frontier ratings are 7,150 lbs of towing and 1,590 lbs of payload, both on the S King Cab 4x2. A PRO-4X Crew Cab 4x4 is rated at 6,270 to 6,310 lbs depending on wheelbase. Those ratings fall as options and accessories add weight, so steel bumpers, a winch, a roof rack and a bed rack all come out of the payload on the door-jamb label. Titan: A Discontinued Full-Size Truck
Nissan's Titan page says 2024 marked the final year of production for the Titan and Titan XD. Its 2024 press kit lists a 5.6-liter Endurance V8 with 400 hp and 413 lb-ft, a 9-speed automatic, and rear-wheel drive or part-time 4WD with a 2.717:1 low range, the same low-range ratio as the Frontier.

The standard Titan is rated at up to 9,290 lbs of towing and 1,710 lbs of payload; the Titan XD at 11,050 lbs with a gooseneck hitch and 2,360 lbs of payload. The XD is a different chassis length from the regular Titan, so its frame-mounted and bed parts are listed separately.
Titan PRO-4X
The 2024 Titan PRO-4X adds an electronic locking rear differential, Bilstein monotube shocks, underbody protection and 275/70R18 all-terrain tires, against 265/70R18 tires on other grades. The PRO-4X name is shared with the Frontier, but the hardware is sized for a different truck, and nothing interchanges. With production over, check that an aftermarket Titan part is still being made before planning a build around it.
