TL;DR
This library lists 70 4WD and off-road tires from 26 manufacturers, with load range, tread depth, 3PMSF rating and warranty taken from each maker's own product or spec page.
Match load before tread: on a truck or SUV, the tires on each axle must be rated, together, for at least that axle's GAWR (FMVSS 110).
The 3PMSF symbol means a tire passed a packed-snow traction test; M+S only describes tread geometry.
UTQG treadwear, traction and temperature grades apply to passenger car tires only, so LT tires carry none.
The last four digits of the DOT code give the week and year the tire was made (for example, 0109 is the first full week of 2009).
Where the Specs Come From
Every entry links to the tire maker's product or spec page as its source (see the Source line on each tire's write-up). Load range, tread depth and warranty are set by the company that builds the tire, and retail listings often leave them out or copy them wrongly. Where a maker doesn't publish a figure, a small number of load ranges and tread depths on newer or lower-volume models, the entry says "n/a" rather than estimating.
How to Read an Off-Road Tire Size
BFGoodrich's sidewall guide breaks a size into parts. Take LT265/70R17 123/120S, a common all-terrain size:

The numbers give the tire's approximate height. Sidewall height is 265 × 0.70 = 185.5 mm, or 7.30 in. Two sidewalls plus the 17-in wheel make about 31.6 in. Bridgestone lists its LT265/70R17 at 31.7 in, and BFGoodrich notes that actual sizes can vary by up to ±3% of section height. Flotation sizes such as 35x12.50R17LT state the approximate diameter (35 in), width (12.50 in) and wheel size (17 in) directly.
Load Range and Load Index: Why They Matter Most
For trucks, SUVs and other multipurpose vehicles, FMVSS 110 (49 CFR 571.110, S4.2.2.1) requires the maximum load ratings of the tires on an axle to add up to at least that axle's gross axle weight rating (GAWR) on the certification label. The tire placard on the driver's-side B-pillar gives the original tire size and cold pressures.
Load range describes how strongly a light-truck tire is built and how much pressure it can hold. BFGoodrich's KO3 in LT265/70R17 shows the effect: Load Range C is rated 2,470 lb at 50 psi, D is 2,910 lb at 65 psi, and E is 3,415 lb at 80 psi. BFGoodrich also warns never to replace original LT tires with P-metric tires, and says that after a switch from P-metric to LT or flotation tires the placard pressures no longer apply, so get the tire maker's pressure recommendation.
Snow Ratings: 3PMSF vs M+S
Under the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association's definitions, the M+S marking (TISB 10) is based on tread geometry: slots at the tread edge reaching at least 1/2" toward the center and a void area of at least 25%. The three-peak mountain snowflake (TISB 37) requires a snow grip index of at least 1.10 against a standard reference tire in the ASTM F1805 packed-snow traction test. Neither marking rates ice grip. The winter-rating filter below shows only 3PMSF tires.
UTQG Grades and the DOT Date Code
Federal Uniform Tire Quality Grading (49 CFR 575.104) applies to passenger car tires. Treadwear is a relative number from a government test course: a tire graded 150 wears one and a half times as well there as one graded 100. Traction grades (AA, A, B, C) come from straight-line wet braking, and temperature grades (A, B, C) from a laboratory heat test. LT tires, deep-tread tires and winter-type snow tires aren't graded, so many off-road tires show no UTQG at all.
Under 49 CFR 574.5, the DOT tire identification number ends in a four-digit date code: the first two digits are the week and the last two the year of manufacture. FMVSS 139 also requires at least six treadwear indicators around the tire that show when the tread has worn to 1/16".
How to Use the Filters
Start with category if you know the tread type you want. BFGoodrich describes all-terrains as quieter and better on pavement than mud-terrains while still handling moderate trails, and mud-terrains as built for deep mud, sand, loose soil and rock but neither quiet nor fuel-efficient. Rugged-terrain/hybrid tires sit between the two, and highway/all-season truck tires rarely leave pavement. Add the winter-rating filter if the truck sees real snow. The size filter narrows to tires that list your exact fitment among their popular sizes; confirm the size against your door placard or current sidewall before ordering.

What does the 3PMSF rating mean?
Under the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association definition (TISB 37), a tire earns the three-peak mountain snowflake by reaching a snow grip index of at least 1.10 against a standard reference tire in the ASTM F1805 test on medium-packed snow. The older M+S marking has no traction test; it only requires certain tread slots and at least 25% void area (TISB 10).
Why do a few Check Price buttons open an Amazon search instead of a listing?
The specs come from manufacturer data, not from Amazon. Most tires are matched to an Amazon listing; where no verified listing exists, the Check Price button opens an Amazon search for that exact brand and model.
How do I know which load range I need?
Check the certification label for each axle's gross axle weight rating (GAWR). Under FMVSS 110, the maximum load ratings of the tires on an axle must add up to at least that figure, so each of two tires on a 4,000 lb axle needs a rating of 2,000 lb or more. Then pick a load range whose maximum load, at the pressure you'll run, covers it. If you're moving from passenger to LT tires, get the tire maker's pressure recommendation.
How do I tell how old a tire is?
Read the last four digits of the DOT code on the sidewall. Under 49 CFR 574.5 the first two digits are the week and the last two the year of manufacture, so 2324 means the 23rd week of 2024.
