Hankook opened its first US plant, in Clarksville, Tennessee, on October 18, 2017. The 1.5 million sq ft facility sits on 469 acres and was built to produce 5.5 million passenger and light-truck radials a year in its first phase. In August 2022 Hankook announced an expansion to double US passenger and light-truck output to 11 million units, with full capacity expected by early 2026. Its all-terrain has moved to a new generation. The original Dynapro AT2 still has a live US page, but its chart is down to four P-metric sizes, mostly OE fitments. Only one of them, 265/70R17 115S, is 3PMSF-marked, and Hankook notes the 60,000-mile limited warranty is "available for select sizes." The four are 225/60R17 99 H (10/32in, UTQG 660 A A), 265/70R17 115 S (10.5/32in, 520 A B), 275/55R20 113 T (12/32in, 440 A A) and 275/60R20 115 T (11/32in, 440 A A).

Dynapro AT2 Xtreme
Hankook announced the Dynapro AT2 Xtreme on October 7, 2021, as the next generation of the AT2, with a more aggressive shoulder design, more noise reduction and longer mileage. It launched in 32 sizes. An August 2022 release added 43 more, including LT275/70R18 and the 35x12.50R17 and 35x12.50R20 flotation sizes, for 75 SKUs that Hankook said covered about 80% of the all-terrain market. The official US chart now lists 80 sizes across 15-22in wheels (37 P-metric, 38 LT and 5 flotation) in Load Ranges SL, XL and C through F, and every one of them is marked 3PMSF.
Tread depth is 12.5/32in on all P-metric sizes and 14.5-16.5/32in on LT and flotation sizes. Hankook's 2023 US warranty booklet lists the mileage warranty at 70,000 miles for P-metric sizes and 60,000 for LT sizes. Hankook lists high-depth sidewall blocks, cross-combined shoulder scoops, multi-directional grooves and sipes, noise-reducing tie-bars and a durable compound meant to spread forces evenly during acceleration, braking and cornering. Every P-metric size is UTQG-graded 660 A B. Under 49 CFR 575.104, which grades passenger-car tires only, the A traction grade means a wet-braking coefficient above 0.47 on asphalt and 0.35 on concrete. The original AT2's 265/70R17 is graded 520 A B.
In 265/70R17 the P-metric Xtreme is 115 T and the LT265/70R17 is a Load Range E at 121 S. Goodyear's load-index chart converts those to 2,679 lb (118 mph) and 3,197 lb (112 mph) per tire, 518 lb apart. LT275/70R18 is 125 S, or 3,638 lb. Only two Xtreme sizes are Load Range F: 33x12.50R20LT 119S and 35x12.50R18LT 128S. They are among its five flotation sizes. The others are 30x9.50R15LT and 31x10.50R15LT, both Load Range C with 15.5/32in of tread, and 35x12.50R17LT, a Load Range E at 121 S with 16.5/32in. All five are S-rated (112 mph), and the 35x12.50R18LT's 128 index works out to 3,968 lb per tire.
Dynapro MT2
The Dynapro MT2 is the mud-terrain, with sidewall puncture protectors, massive V-shaped shoulder lugs and mud and stone ejectors. Hankook says its tread was optimized with 3D engineering for off-road traction without giving up on-road comfort. Its US chart has 16 sizes on 15-20in wheels, in Load Ranges C-F, with 15.5-18.5/32in of tread. All sizes are Q speed-rated (99 mph) except LT275/70R18 125R, a GM OE size rated to 106 mph and 3,638 lb. It has no mileage warranty and every size is listed 3PMSF = N. Most sizes are Load Range E (11 of 16). Two are C, one is D, and two are F: 33x12.50R20LT at 119 and LT305/55R20 at 125, which Goodyear's chart converts to 2,998 lb and 3,638 lb per tire.
Hankook's Warranty Terms
Hankook's 2023 US limited warranty runs 6 years from the date of manufacture or 6 years from purchase, whichever benefits the customer. A tire that fails from a workmanship or material condition in the first 2/32in of tread and first year is replaced free, including mounting and balancing. After that, Hankook gives a credit equal to the dealer's current price multiplied by the percentage of tread remaining. The exclusions list road hazards (puncture, cut, impact break, stone drill, bruise, bulge, snag), ozone cracking on tires over 4 years old, and "racing & off road use and misapplication". Commercial service is excluded too, except for LT tires.
Two extras apply to the tires here. Road Hazard coverage replaces a tire with a non-repairable road hazard free if it is within its first 2/32in of tread and one year from purchase. It covers the Dynapro AT2 and AT2 Xtreme in P-metric sizes only, not LT sizes or the MT2, and OE tires are excluded. Hankook's 30 Day Free Trial lists all three tires here, the AT2, AT2 Xtreme and MT2. It applies to purchases of 4 to 6 tires, lets the buyer exchange 1 to 4 of them within 30 days, and includes mounting and balancing. The mileage warranty requires even wear to 2/32in. The allowance is the percentage of warranted miles not received, multiplied by the dealer's current price, with the remaining miles projected from the average wear per 1/32in. The free trial has limits of its own: tires damaged by misuse, road hazards, mechanical problems or racing are not eligible, the replacement set is not covered by a second trial, and a tire replaced under Road Hazard coverage cannot be claimed under it again.
Hankook's Care Guidance for These Tires
The same booklet sets out maintenance rules that affect both safety and warranty claims. Hankook says to rotate tires at least every 7,500 miles, or sooner if the vehicle maker says so, and to reset pressures for each tire's new position afterward. It points out that the pressure molded on the sidewall is the tire's maximum, not the recommended pressure, which comes from the vehicle's placard or owner's manual. A replacement tire's load capacity must equal or exceed the original equipment tire's. That rule is why a truck specified for a Load Range E LT tire should not drop to a P-metric AT2 Xtreme just because it shares the model name.
On age, Hankook says most tires will need replacement before 10 years from manufacture regardless of tread wear. Any tire in service 10 years or more from its date of manufacture should be replaced even if it was never used, and the date can be read from the DOT code on the sidewall.
